The Modular Gameworld is the brainchild of Ronald Whited, with help from my partners over at Principle Factor Games. It was inspired by a desire to share all the D&D material and ideas I have accumulated over the years in an easy to digest (and write) format, a newsletter and blog. I also (selfishly) hope to get many submissions from you that I can use in my games! I have a feeling my games will improve greatly both from your submissions and also from learning how to refine my own ideas from a dirty rock into a shining diamond.

I would like to make this site the premier resource for roleplaying content, but to do that I will need your help! Your submissions and advice drive this newsletter. Take a jump in, subscribe to the newsletter, and enjoy the content. Share what you can when you can, and enjoy the community!

About Principle Factor Games

Principle Factor Games is a small group of like-minded gamers trying to make a living in the industry they love. Ronald, creator of the Modular Gameworld, is co-creator of Principle Factor Games and this is our first major project.

About Me – How D&D Can Change Lives

Inheriting a D&D collection can change a life. I was a loner through most of my childhood, living an adventurer’s life vicariously through my fantasy books. I would read anything, and it gave me the escape I needed, little did I know in a few years I would inherit a book that would change my life. In 1992 my uncle gave me his collection of AD&D books, and that was the day roleplaying entered my life. After DMing my first campaign I was hooked. I was always a talented storyteller, writing lengthy stories to amuse myself as a kid when I didn’t have new books to read, and I brought that talent into play crafting my gameworlds. DMing let my stunted social skills bloom, and brought me out of my protective shell.

What our games lacked in rules knowledge we made up for in passion and imagination. I have taken that love of stories, and the mentality that rules should benefit a story not detract from it and have used those lessons well in my games.

I have never forgotten what books in general, and one set of books in particular, did for me when I was younger, and now I intend to give something back. For every book or subscription I sell 10% of the profits will go to a charity to combat illiteracy.

Finding joy in reading is an amazing thing. Books have given me a lifelong love of roleplaying, and I hope my articles and my donations can help bring that joy to others.

Best wishes and good gaming!
