Greetings,

Thank you for your interest in sharing your ideas with the grateful masses! Our newsletter and blog are content driven and 100% free to our subscribers. While I cannot pay for any submissions, being a free newsletter and all, we appreciate you sharing any content you may use in your games with our readers.

Don’t be afraid about your writing or editing skill when sending in a tip or article, we will do the editing for you!

We accept almost any content, with one main division between our newsletter and blog.

  • The Modular Gameworld Newsletter is filled with all types of non-setting-specific content. Examples include Plot Hooks, Monsters, Races, Gods, Adventures, and so on.
  • The Taste the Flavor Blog is filled with campaign setting specific goodness. Examples include Campaign Settings and any type of content associated with a single campaign setting. We encourage fanwork that expands on our campaign settings as well, so don’t be afraid to send something in that expands on a setting we have posted before.

Submission Process

Send me your content. That’s it, it’s that easy. We’ll work with you if we need to reword your content to make it clearer (making sure we get your approval on any changes before we add it to our newsletter or blog) and do any necessary editing. We will also credit you for your work so please include whatever name you would like to be credited as, as well as your website if you would like. This is a great way to get some exposure for your roleplaying website, blog, or newsletter while helping build someone else in the industry.

Also ask about a guest article trade, we would love to write a guest article back for you. Share and share alike, eh?

One tip: don’t let crunch get in the way of your submission, some of the best content is 100% flavor. And if you feel your submission requires some stats, I can work with you to make some mechanics for whatever you are thinking of.

Legal Stuff

Now that the fun stuff is out of the way, I have a couple others things I need to share with you.

  • As mentioned earlier, we at The Modular Gameworld are unable to pay you for your submission, what with running a free newsletter and blog. We will credit you for your work in any form the content is printed though.
  • I reserve the right to final approval and editing of any content. I will not post anything if you are uncomfortable with the changes made though. Any submitted work needs to be original work written by you. Through submitting your work you grant Principle Factor Games (the creator of the Modular Gameworld) non-expiring republishing rights on all your submissions.
